10/10This gun is fun and is good looking. Thanks to having the option of swapping out the handle grips, we matched up the grip with the shooting line to give it that nice professionally finished look. Plenty of power for short range and hole hunting on smaller fish.
Rigged with a single 5/8 band and 6.6mm spear the spear has a high velocity but a limited range. Gun comes normally with two 5/8 bands. Also, the open muzzle limits visibility, but we hear there is a new muzzle on its way to remedy that !!!
A classic Rob Allen set up that has been designed to hunt a very specific region and species of fish. Excellent feel and thanks to how light it is, it is as if you are not even diving with a speargun. The great adaptability and durability of RA guns is what keeps them in the forefront of speargun manufacturers.
Light and fast was the concept behind this compact Rob Allen Speargun. Made from the same Carbon barrel and design that has landed fish all over the world, this smaller version allows for easy maneuverability and quick target acquisition. Paired with a single 5/8th band and 9/16th shaft with a single flopper, this speargun is a perfect rock fish and hole hunting machine.
Rob Allen Carbon rail barrels are pull-wound in a continuous process using 3 to 4 tons of tension. This allows the fiber loading to be maintained at a much higher level than in conventional mandrel wound tubes as used by other manufacturers. As 100 % carbon fiber is used at the highest possible loading, along with an integral rail further adding to the stiffness, the Rob Allen Carbon rail barrels are the best in
the world.
Each barrel is pressure tested twice – first with air immediately after the initial pull winding process and then after assembly in our hydraulic test chamber to the equivalent of 40m depth for one hour.
The Black Glass reinforced Nylon trigger mechanism comes standard with a Stainless Steel Line Release. Designed with Carbon Barrels in mind, the internal spigot and external shrouds grip the barrel to avoid stress at the screw holes. Guns from the 1100 models upward have a “muzzle brake” weight fitted internally behind the muzzle. This balances the gun when aiming and reduces muzzle lift and recoil on firing.
